Jeff is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a member of Dietitians Australia (DA). He is also an approved practitioner of the Australian Centre for Eating Disorder (ACFED). He has over 13 years of experience in providing evidence-based nutrition care to patients with various health conditions, especially in the fields diabetes, metabolism, renal, oncology, and bariatric surgery.
He is a Lecturer in Dietetics at Victoria University. He also holds a position at St. John of God Healthcare, where he is responsible for ICU, surgical and out-patients. Prior to that, he worked as a renal dietitian at Sunshine Hospital, where he managed patients with advanced kidney diseases and other co- morbidities.
He also has extensive experience in working as a dietitian in Hong Kong, where he worked at three public hospitals under the Hospital Authority. He was responsible for both ICU, cardiac care unit, acute, sub-acute and rehabilitation wards, and encountered cases from all specialties. He was also the lead dietitian for several programs and projects, such as weight management research, community out-patient clinic, bariatric surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, and early recovery after surgery. He has extensive training and a master degree in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is passionate about helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through individualised and holistic nutrition interventions. He is also an advocate of telehealth and digital health, he initiated and created telehealth programs for his department during COVID pandemic. He is always keen to learn new skills and knowledge, and to collaborate with other health professionals to provide optimal nutrition care to patients.
